Territorial Bloggings
A Cogent Mélange of Lutheran & Pop-Culture Punditry
AI: 3/24 - the results
Well, thankfully there was no surprise in the results, even in light of the voting snafu that caused the whole re-vote to take place.
Bottom 3: Anthony, Mikalah, & Nadia.
Comments: Pretty much just as I thought it would be — all 3 deserved to be there. Anthony & Mikalah based on their performances to date, and Nadia based solely on her performance this week.
Eliminated: Mikalah!
Mikalah needed to go. Hopefully she’ll get some training (one commentator I read referred to her as “Marble-mouth Mikalah” - an apt descriptor of her seeming inability to properly/clearly enunciate) and some maturity (and realize that the Fran Dresher “mini-me” act is not the way to go!), so that she can deserve any spotlight she might get in the future.
Hopefully Nadia’s experience in the bottom 3 will help her grow & understand the need for avoiding silly risks (a lesson that Anwar could benefit from as well…). She’s too good a performer with too much talent to fall prey to the trap of singing a Cyndi Lauper song.
Early Predictions: Well, not knowing next week’s theme, it’s hard to say; however, barring any unforeseen seismic shifts, I think Anthony will be eliminated, after having been joined in the bottom 3 by Jessica & Scott.
