Lutheranism Protestantism

One of regular entries on my list of “things-that-annoy-me” is the habit that so many folks have of calling Lutherans ‘Protestants’.

We ain’t that.

Ask The Pastor has just posted a great explanation of how & why this is the case, in the posting titled Protestant Christianity.

It can, but shouldn’t, go without saying that Pr. Snyder is providing a tremendously edifying service by making the ATP archives available online. Quite honestly, the ATP archives put the official LCMS FAQs to shame, in terms of being a solid, useful resource about what orthodox Lutherans believe.

Not only that, but Pr. Snyder is also a great leader in the Confessional Lutheran Blogosphere! Though he does seem to be a bit obsessed with aardvarks from time to time…
In short, Pr. Snyder rawks. Out loud!
