SYTYCD? — Top 6

I’m just constantly amazed by how much I like this show. This dancing show.
Tonight’s was another strong outing, with all six performances ranging from enjoyably entertaining (at the low end w/Dimitry & Ashlee) to simply stunning (Ivan & Allison).

I would rate Ivan & Allison (RAWR!!) and Benji & Donyelle as being as safe as safe can be from the bottom 3. For my personal preference, I’d also keep Musa & Natalie safe.

This, then, leaves the bottom 3 pairs as: Dimitry/Ashlee, Ryan/Heidi, & Travis/Martha.

After the girls’ solos, I think that Heidi & Martha will be safe, and Ashlee will be sent home.

After the boys’ solos, I think that Travis will be safe. And it wouldn’t really surprise me if either Ryan or Dimitry gets sent packing. If I had to guess, I’d still say that I don’t know who loses, as I could argue for/against either of them.

This is just an awesome show — even if all the other shows that I’m following this summer go in the tank & end up sucking, SYTYCD? would still make this summer’s realitytv viewing worthwhile! (and Treasure Hunters is quickly getting to that same level, despite its obvious cheeziness in things like shameless product placement — it’s really great seeing a show where folks truly have to think, get pushed in very physical tasks, and where History is taken seriously…)
