America did a bad thing…

…they took my Allison away from me. SYTYCD? will be much less enjoyable for me to watch now that she’s gone. Allison was the best girl dancer on the show, something that I say while being an admitted fan of Donyelle, Heidi, and (especially) Natalie. It’s truly a shame that she’s gone. (Yikes! This bothers me more than pretty much any AI elimination that I can remember…)

Ultimately, I think the blame MUST be placed on Rappin’ FREAKING Granny! Her making it to the finals was so bizarre that it spilled over & messed up SYTYCD?. That’s the only way I can explain it…

(who’d like to think that AGT’s “wild card” show announcement wasn’t borne just out of greed, but also because the producers realized just how bad the judges had screwed the pooch with this R-F’n-G fiasco…)

That is a very, very, very scary thing you made me imagine! I have remained strong and have not been sucked into AGT but I was very disappointed in America with SYTYCD last night. But Allison proved what a classy girl she is with her wonderful attitude and final dance! I like Natalie and Donyelle but I think one of them should have gone…not Allison!

I am glad to report that I am NOT hooked on any show this summer. I am, however, leaving in dread of the start of American Idol season.

My husband and I watched the episode where the rapping granny got selected. I’m kind of confused on her appeal, other than pure and sweet spunkiness.

I’m at a complete loss as to R-F’n-G’s “appeal” — I didn’t get it back when she auditioned, and it hasn’t gotten any clearer since. She should’ve never made it past the original audition or the pre-semi’s pruning of the 15 acts down to the 10 who would perform on the semifinal show.

An interesting note re: Allison’s departure — it seems that some have chalked it up to the “curse” of the AI final-four round elimination surprises in the past (Daughtry, Tamyra, etc…). It certainly does seem that America goes stupid at this point of these competitions, doesn’t it? :???:
