I’ve been elected to serve as the lay delegate for our circuit at the 2007 LCMS national convention next July. In Houston. Did I mention that it’s in July? Well, it is.
In the district (TX) from which our current, self-proclaimed non-theologian, synodical president emerged.
At a time when our synod is in more conflict & turmoil than it’s been since the 1970s.
When orthodox confessional Lutherans are attempting to fend off incursions by methobapticostal American Evangelicalism, theological liberalism, and societal/cultural relativism.
It should be fun…

Ah, Glen! This is excellent — I’ll be there too! I now have a reason to look forward to it, aside from my unnatural enjoyment of intense humidity.
