James Cameron’s new “documentary” on Christ

Director James Cameron (of Terminator & Titanic fame) is about to release a “documentary” in which he will claim to have found the coffins of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and their son.

Good gravy!

Paul Maier already wrote about this — A Skeleton In God’s Closet — and did so far more creatively, and with far more integrity than James Cameron could ever muster. Rev. Dr. Maier’s work of fiction didn’t make claims of truth, under which it was subsequently crushed - like Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons books, for example. Maier’s work of fiction ended up reflecting a greater truth than Cameron’s “documentary” ever will.

Seriously, I find it difficult to believe that Cameron thinks that anyone will take this even the least bit seriously. It’s more far-fetched than anything he ever did in The Terminator or T2.

The extent to which people (well, actually Satan) will go in their efforts to assault Christianity is sad. Not surprising, given what God has told us in the Bible, but sad nonetheless.
