Oh yes, it is almost that time again.

Time for the behemoth that is American Idol to emerge from its not-long-enough slumber.

We are just over *3* weeks away from the start of AI:7!

Per the fine folks over at TVSquad.com, we now know what form the onslaught will take:

• Jan 15 & 16 - 2 hours each night to kick things off.
• Jan 22 & 23 - 1 hour each night
• Jan 29 & 30 - 1 hour each night
• Feb 05 & 06 - 1 hour each night
• Feb 12 - 2 hours of Hollywood Round 1
• Feb 13 - 1 hour of Hollywood Round 2 & announcing the Top 24

That’s 10 shows, (at least) 13 hours, over the course of one month, to tease us with the good, and torture us with baddest & the ugliest that San Diego, Dallas, Omaha, Atlanta, Charleston, Miami and Philadelphia have to offer, before we mercifully get to the Top 24.

Once we get to the Top 24, then from Feb 19 through Mar 06 we’re faced with at least another 12 hours in the form of:

• the Boys on Tuesday
• the Girls on Wednesday
• Results on Thursday

Starting on March 11, we get our weekly dose of the whittling down the Top 12 to our eventual winner sometime in May.

Oh yeah, and don’t be surprised, if the Writer’s strike is still going strong, to see FOX add even more AI:7 programming as they go along…

Should be fun.
