Well, this won’t make me take back my being pleased with the recent results show, but it is interesting. Frankly, that parts were taped, rather than actually live, doesn’t bother me all that much…

Per Reality Blurred & Billboard.com, it seems there are some interesting “secrets” (10, to be precise…) about how the results shows are constructed. Among the more fascinating tidbits are that Kat McPhee’s performance was pre-taped, as was the phoned-in questions “live” from viewers (so much for a viewer sneaking in a naughty question!).

Sure, they were “taped live”, but that’s not quite the same as “broadcast live”, now is it?
