Tying your shoes — I’m knot kidding!
Tying your shoes seems like such a basic thing.
For some reason (maybe because my mind is a vast repository of useless triviata, or maybe because we’re trying to get my son to learn how to tie his own shoes…) I found Ian’s Shoelace Site to be endlessly fascinating.
I learned that I’ve been tying my shoes with a ’slip knot’ since forever, or at least since I’ve been tying shoes (let’s say 30+ years, just to protect my delicate ego, ok?). I’ve often been bedeviled by shoes coming untied, and now I know why. It’s pretty cool.
Some may think it silly, but this type of site, and the info on it, is one of the big reasons why I find the ‘net to be so cool & useful!
